Great music doesn't just happen in Clayton – it's born and bred here! Aaron Hamm & the Big River Band is a band of local boys who grew up in Clayton and who now play their brand of “in-your-face-honky-tonk country” all over the Triangle. Heads Up Penny is made up of all Clayton High School graduates, in fact, they may have served you a hot dog at Jones Cafe in years past! They rocked our stage last year with Clayton-native and Nashville recording artist Kennedy Fitzsimmons and now they’re back by popular demand to play their “Winnebago Soul” music, a sound that mixes blues, rock, country, funk, Americana, and, of course, soul!
